Hi there.  It's been a long time since I have posted on here, but I'm back with awesome updates!  Basically I was working on finals for the last week of April and took a much needed vacation to Fort Collins to visit our friends at New Belgium Brewery (since college is just soooo tough).  The friends that I was staying with came along with me on a tour of New Belgium, and I was super impressed.  In fact, my jaw hit the floor at how amazing this brewery is!  Being an ex-home brewer, I love the intricacies associated with creating beer, so this tour satisfied my nerdy desires.  Although the tour of the facilities was impressive, I think the culture associated with this company is what stood out the most!  Everyone at the brewery was so happy, and I could tell they loved their work.  All I can say is that I am so happy that SoundForest is working with such a socially responsible company.  It's truly a blessing!  Not to mention, they make some darn good beer! 
For the next week I will be in the Granite State (New Hampshire, for those who don't know), visiting my parents and bringing joy into their household!  But don't worry, I will be back soon with more updates of what we are doing at SoundForest!  Until then, hug a tree for me and drink a nice cold beer!  Good night to all, and to all a goodnight! 

Greenhorn, here again!  I meant to post everything on Friday but my computer must have not saved anything.  Typical PC.
So, last Friday Thomas and I did some good work on the Blackstone Brewery, successfully potting over 100-hundred trees.  On our way over to Blackstone we found a tree who had gotten ran over by either a motor vehicle or a large person.  Being the rebels we are, we decided to put the poor sap to rest (get it?  Cause trees make sap) and put in a brand new tree.  You're welcome environment!  Oh yeah, the compost looks awesome (as always).  Enjoy the pictures and happy Monday everybody!

Alright, so Thomas came back.  Which means no more GreenHorn fun.  Just kidding, I'm allowed to have fun!  Yesterday I brought out several of my Phi Delta Theta brothers, and we potted over 500 trees at a nursery owned by the Department of Forestry!  Not bad for us Greek Week Champions... that's right, we celebrate by helping the environment!
In other news, the compost is alive and well, and decomposing away.  Tom and I will be going to Blackstone tomorrow, to work on the nursery, so stay tuned for more awesomeness from your favorite GreenHorn!

Hello, fellow tree lovers!  While Tom was away in Fort Collins, for the annual Bike Summit (put on by New Belgium Breweries), the GreenHorn got to work!  Today we rearranged the newly located tree nursery and built a container to collect compostable materials.  My buddy Ian came out to show his support for SoundForest and helped rearrange the nursery and build the compost container... and boy, does that compost look tasty! Just kidding, you should NEVER eat compost, it is meant for trees and flowers.  After a few hours of hard work, we were rewarded with two, Blackstone Chaser Pale six packs... bottled an hour before we got them... we were super happy campers!  If you like beer then you need to start drinking Blackstone, it's phenomenal (of course, drink responsibility).  Speaking of Blackstone, I think I might grab one right now.  Goodnight, and stay classy Nashville!

Hello friends, my name is Jacob Farrell Brown, the GreenHorn and Compost Specialist of SoundForest!  I like long walks on the beach, holding hands at midnight, cuddling, and embracing trees... does that sound weird?  Oh well, this is my life at SoundForest!  Well, today Thomas and I met with Samantha Hart from Hands On Nashville to discuss our partnership and future, super-awesome projects to help improve the environment.  This was the first day I felt like an intern, as they dictated and I took notes from the meeting.  They soon commandeered my computer.  I sat on the sidelines and said nothing.  I tried to not even breathing, as to go unnoticed.  I should probably stop typing about the meeting right now, Thomas just walked in and he looks maaaaaaaadddddddddd.  Just kidding!
