SoundForest.org is a Pro-Earth Eco-Charity whose purpose is to better our environment. It is our goal to partner with businesses allowing them to become more eco-friendly and assist them in making a positive difference in the world. We work to create and direct volunteer groups and spread the word about positive ways to treat the planet. We work with individuals, businesses, communities, schools, and municipalities to encourage a more sustainable lifestyle and operating procedures. We are improving natural and urban forests by planting trees, removing invasive species, and providing education about the benefits forests have for the environment. We support zero carbon methods of transportation and continually look for ways to increase awareness about the benefits of riding bikes. Live Sound, Live Healthy.

A note on urban planting. SoundForest.org recommends the planting of native species in urban environments when conditions are conducive to healthy plant growth. Unfortunately due to many variations in urban environmnets created by human activity, urban areas are no longer the same habitat in which "native" species can grow. Thus, many species that grow in a forested region that boarder a city might no longer be a recommended choice for an urban environment due to dramatic altercations such as heat island effect, urban drought, soil compaction, human activity, soil PH variation and many other variations. Please consult SoundForest.org or your local forester for recommended plant species in your urban area.
